Currently embedded within the professional setup at The Sharks, one of South Africa’s premier rugby franchises, working alongside elite-level coaches and athletes.
Actively assist in the design, delivery, and monitoring of gym-based Strength & Conditioning programmes for academy and development players, ensuring alignment with the demands of high-performance rugby.
Support daily training environments including warm-ups, mobility work, corrective exercise implementation, and strength/power sessions, with an emphasis on long-term athletic development and injury risk reduction.
Collaborate closely with experienced professionals such as Pieter Terblanche, gaining mentorship and insight into best practices for physical preparation in a professional sporting context.
Involved in athlete screening, load monitoring, and the application of fundamental S&C principles including periodisation, progression, and individualisation of training.
