Co-Appointment by Athletics/Health and Human Performance Lab – Sport Science

Entry Level Applied Sports Science & Performance Coach. Registration in the Master’s Program with a focus on the Thesis Track or Internship Track.

About the role

Serve as an assistant in all aspects of running the Health and Human Performance Lab which includes data acquisition in Motion Capture, DEXA, YBT, Force Plate, data input, data analysis, and presentation of findings. In addition, the assistant will be responsible for the Applied Science and Performance for East Texas A&M Division 1 Football team. The role will include organization and implementation of Performance Lab testing, as well as constructing and implementing team lifts for the Football Team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in HHP Lab duties under the guidance of Dr. Michael Oldham
  • Facilitate Research Coordination and operation of lab equipment under the guidance of Performance lab staff
  • Assistant Football Performance Coach
  • Construct/Facilitate lifting segments for team
  • Communicate with John McWilliams regarding weekly/monthly schedules

Candidate requirements

  • Acceptance into Master’s Program in Health, Kinesiology, and Sport Science (HKSS); and registration in classes as a full-time graduate student
  • CSCS or CSCCA certification (attained or in progress)
  • CPR/AED Certification & First Aid Certification
  • Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science or Data Science
