Junior Assistant Coach (Voluntary Role)
Location: South London
Organisation: South London Girls Football Academy
Commitment: Weekly training sessions (evenings/weekends)
Age Range: 16–21
About the Role
We’re looking for passionate, reliable and motivated young people to join our team as Junior Assistant Coaches.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional football environment, develop your coaching skills and make a positive impact on young female players.
What You’ll Do
- Assist a professional coach during weekly training sessions
- Support individual players (1-to-1) under the guidance of the Lead Coach
- Help set up and pack away equipment before and after sessions
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all players at all times
- Represent the Academy by dressing and acting professionally
- Support all Academy staff as requested by the Academy Director and Manager
What We’re Looking For
- A football background – played through youth or school teams
- Some experience in coaching, mentoring, or supervising others (preferred)
- Reliable and available for weekly sessions
- An interest in working with children and supporting their development
- A willingness to learn and gain qualifications (FA coaching badges, Safeguarding, First Aid – support provided)
