Durham Cricket is seeking to appoint 2 x Performance Coaches to work across our Female Talent Pathway.

Job Summary:

The objective of Durham Cricket Female Pathway programme is to identify, select and develop the next generation of Durham players. The program’s objective is to supply home-grown talent that is capable of succeeding for Durham Cricket and ultimately England.

The Performance Coach will provide high-level coaching support to the Female Pathway programme, including coaching and managing County Age Group team(s). The successful candidate will also assist the Female Academy & Pathway Director with talent identification and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of coaching support to the Durham Female Pathway programme on an individual and group basis
  • To be the lead coach of a County Age Group team(s) for the winter and summer programme
  • Support the Female Academy and Pathway Director on talent identification and recruitment to ensure the strategic aims of producing home-grown Durham Cricket and England players.
  • Assist in implementing Durham ethos across the pathway, including its technical aspects as well as our desired values and behaviours.
  • Assist in communicating and promoting the Durham ethos across our Pathway and the ECB regional programme
  • To attend and contribute at player management and strategy group meetings and support Durham’s culture and direction.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Minimum ECB Level 2 coaching qualification (or) working towards ECB Level 3 coaching qualification
  • Current DBS
  • First Aid and Safeguarding Young People Training
  • Demonstrable experience in coaching at both youth and high-performance level

Desired

  • ECB Level 3 is desirable
