Department: Football Operations
Reports To: Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Summary:
The Strength and Conditioning Assistant will be a seasonal role responsible for delivering excellent training and physical preparation for the Edmonton Elks Players.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of all aspects of sports performance. These include Speed, Strength, Power, Change of Direction and Recovery programs.
- Assist in testing and evaluation of athletes and data.
- Assist in return to play in conjunction with the athletic therapists.
- Assist in supervision of intern strength and conditioning personnel.
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and conditioning areas.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Must hold a CSCS certification.
- 1+ years’ full-time experience in a university or professional role.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience as a Strength and Conditioning intern or coach with a professional sports team is an asset.
- Previous experience with different sports technologies.
