Overview:

As a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will design and deliver world-class physical development programs that optimise performance and reduce injury risk for First Team players. You’ll work collaboratively across departments to implement an elite-level approach to training, preparation, and recovery. We’re looking for someone with more of a gym-based profile to match the needs of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Design & Delivery

• Create and oversee structured, evidence-based strength and conditioning programs tailored to individual and team needs
• Integrate the latest sport science research to maximise athletic development and reduce injury risk
• Design goalkeeper-specific physical development plans that align with long-term performance goals

Collaboration & Integration

• Conduct physical assessments and collaborate with coaches, medical staff, nutritionists, and analysts to deliver a holistic performance model
• Continuously adapt training programs based on player progress and real-time feedback
• Educate players and staff on best practices in strength, conditioning, and recovery

Monitoring & Data Application

• Utilise cutting-edge monitoring tools to evaluate workload, readiness, and recovery
• Interpret performance data to inform decisions and optimise training outcomes
• Ensure training methods are aligned with match demands and competition cycles

Environment & Operations

• Maintain a clean, organised, and high-performing gym environment
• Monitor and manage inventory of equipment, overseeing maintenance and replacements
• Travel with the team as required to deliver consistent training and preparation

Professional Development

• Stay up to date with global advancements in strength and conditioning
• Promote continuous growth and collaboration across the performance department

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Master’s Degree in Physiology, Sports Science, or a related field
• Accredited or registered with a recognised professional body

Desirable:

• PhD in a relevant discipline
• Experience in professional football clubs in the Middle East

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:

• Experience working with elite athletes or in a professional sports environment
• Strong ability to design and implement high-quality training programs
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge of recovery strategies and physical preparation principles
• Competence in managing and analysing complex data sets
• High attention to detail and commitment to safe, effective training delivery
• Fluent in English

Desirable:

• Multilingual, especially Spanish and Arabic
• Previous experience in the Middle East football landscape
