Location: Durham, UK
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week across 7 days)
Contract: 24-month fixed term
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)

Are you passionate about elite performance and player development? Durham Women FC is looking for a Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our ambitious and forward-thinking team.

 

About the Role

As our Strength & Conditioning Coach, you’ll be at the heart of our performance team, delivering tailored strength, speed, and conditioning programmes for our First Team and Professional Game Academy players. You’ll work closely with coaches and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team to enhance on-pitch performance and long-term player development.

This is a hands-on role requiring attendance at all training sessions and matches, with a focus on high-performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of individualised S&C programmes
  • Collaborate with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to optimise player performance
  • Support player nutrition and rehabilitation
  • Attend all training sessions and fixtures
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture and continuous improvement

 

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science or related field
  • UKSCA Accredited (or working towards)
  • UKAD Clean Sport Advisor
  • Clean, current driving licence
  • Experience in performance sport
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS check required
  • FA Safeguarding Certificate (or willingness to complete)
  • FA Level 2 Emergency Aid (or willingness to complete)

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Sports Science or related field
  • UEFA ‘C’ Licence or higher
  • Understanding of female athlete health
  • Experience in professional football
