Job Title: Strength & Conditioning Coach

Department: Academy

Full Time / Part Time: Part Time

Reports to: Academy Manager

Working Location: Woking FC Academy Training Ground (within Woking College)

Working Hours: Based around the Academy Schedule

Woking FC Academy are seeking a qualified and dedicated Strength and conditioning coach to join their Academy programme. The role of the Strength and Conditioning Coach will be to maximise each player’s physical performance capabilities and mitigate risk of injury by providing effective planning, programming and physical preparation coaching.

Responsibilities

  • To deliver pre activation/injury prevention sessions to academy players.
  • To plan and deliver weekly strength and conditioning gym sessions for our Elite Development Squad.
  • To plan and deliver weekly pitch-based strength and conditions sessions to our Academy scholars
  • To oversee use of GPS Data Pods and provide feedback reports on training and match days.
  • To plan and oversee the implementation of Pitch side S&C sessions for all of our Youth Academy teams.
  • To undertake regular CPD and training relevant for the role to progress the Medical department and medical provision
  • Contribute to ongoing staff and player education
  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary team that works collaboratively to support the development of young people
  • Input into weekly staff meetings around planning .
  • To familiarise yourself with the Medical Emergency Action Plan and to ask for training if you are unfamiliar with the MEAP.
  • Carry out other duties as directed by Academy Manager and trustees.

Qualifications (Essential)

  • A BSC (or equivalent) in Sports Science / Strength & Conditioning
  • Emergency First Aid in Football
  • Up to date FA DBS and Safeguarding Certificate

Experience

  • Working with youth and young adult footballers players or athletes from other sports
  • Planning and Delivering gym-based and pitch-based football programmes
  • In creating presentations, reports and emails.
  • Working within a full time academy environment.
