We are seeking a Strength & Conditioning Coach who is passionate about developing athletes through intentional training, strong leadership, and a commitment to excellence. This role is about more than performance—it’s about building confidence, discipline, and resilience in every athlete you work with.

Position Summary

The Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of strength and conditioning programs for LMU Athletics. This role works closely with coaches and athletic staff to enhance performance, reduce injury risk, and support the overall well-being of student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sport-specific strength and conditioning programs
  • Support injury prevention, recovery, and performance optimization
  • Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, and athletics staff
  • Supervise and maintain training facilities and equipment
  • Monitor and evaluate student-athlete progress
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
  • Certification from: National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) – CSCS or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Flexible schedule to meet athletics demands
  • Knowledge of strength and conditioning across multiple sports
