Job Description

The Youth Soccer Director oversees all Nashville SC Youth programs, focusing on recreational and high-performance sessions while supporting community soccer initiatives. Serving as the link between community programming and the Academy, this role manages operations, finances, staffing, and program delivery to align with the Club’s player development framework. Responsibilities include staff recruitment and training, budgeting, and implementing strategies to grow participation and community engagement. The position also coordinates camps, clinics, and events connecting local players and families to Nashville SC, requiring strong leadership, organizational, and financial management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all youth soccer programs from community engagement initiatives, ensuring consistent alignment with Nashville SC’s player development philosophy and community mission
  • Manage financial resources, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure sustainable growth and operational efficiency
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate program staff and coaches to deliver high-quality, player-centered experiences across all levels
  • Develop and implement organizational systems and operational processes to enhance efficiency, communication, and program delivery
  • Create and execute marketing and outreach strategies to promote Nashville SC’s youth programs throughout Middle Tennessee and surrounding regions
  • Strengthen community relationships by collaborating with local schools, recreational leagues, and partner organizations to increase access and participation
  • Support the design, execution, and oversight of community clinics, development camps, and local tournaments that align with Nashville SC’s developmental objectives
  • Develop and monitor strategic plans focused on expanding participation, enhancing player retention, and improving program quality
  • Collaborate with the other business units to collectively support the enterprise-wide business: i.e. Assets for Corporate Partnership, driving ticket sales from youth programs, data collection, branding, social presence, content, and merchandise
  • Collect and analyze data and participant feedback to evaluate program success and identify areas for growth and innovation
  • Represent Nashville SC Youth in community events, Club initiatives, and partnership meetings to reinforce the Club’s presence and impact in the region
  • Execute matchday responsibilities, including but not limited to publicity of camps, chalk talks before games, programs and opportunities for youth teams and campers, etc.
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Travel as needed for program events, community activations, and meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in program management, youth sports, or community development, with a track record of operational success
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, resource management, and organizational leadership
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff and volunteer coaches in a collaborative, mission-driven environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse audiences
  • Experience developing marketing strategies, community partnerships, and outreach initiatives
  • Deep commitment to youth development, and community engagement through sport
  • Knowledge of youth soccer structures, grassroots development models, and player pathway systems preferred
  • U.S. Soccer D-License or equivalent a plus
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
