About me
I am a World Championship medal swimming coach with a MSc in Strength and Conditioning from
Loughborough University and a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Coaching and P.E. Driven
by a passion to help athletes achieve their dreams in performance sport with career ambitions to
coach high performance athletes. I have vast amounts of experience working with athletes in both strength and conditioning and swim coaching. Leading groups of athletes at high performance level including Olympic and world championship medalists and finalists.

2024/2025 Season:
Report to and assist the Director of Swimming and Head CoachFrom January 2025 onwards, following my success in the short course cycle with the High Performance sprinters, I have been given the responsibility to continue my development with leading the Performance Development sprint squad under the supervision of the Performance Development lead coach. Athletes have since achieved World Championship qualification, World University Games qualification, British Championship finalists, Bahrain National records and Commonwealth Games team preselection
From September to December 2024 with the absence of the Head Coach, I was given responsibility for the planning and delivery of sessions for the High Performance squad sprinters, using an innovative periodised approach to sprint training to improve their repeat sprint ability and anaerobic power/capacity. Under my coaching and leadership, athletes since achieved: World Aquatic Championship Bronze medal and 4x BUCS 2024 Golds (alongside team winning the BUCS Championships)
Delivery, planning and support/assisting the delivery of coaching sessions for High Performance squad whilst contributing towards performance planning and interdisciplinary team meetings with the aim of working collaboratively towards improving athletes’ performance and wellbeing
Received mentoring from World Record and Olympic gold medalists coach Andi Manley with the aim of developing my coaching and understanding of elite athletes and how to achieve in elite sport.
Provided support volunteering in strength and conditioning sessions for the High Performance squad2023/2024 Season:
Report to and assist the Director of Swimming and Head Coach. Primarily supporting the Head Coach and his High Performance Sprint Squad. Whilst additionally gaining experience assisting the Director and his Distance High Performance squadReceived mentoring from both Head Coach (Ian Hulme) and Director (Andi Manley) on how to effectively plan successful training plans and run a High Performance program aiming for Olympic and International success
Worked as the assistance coach and S&C coach at the Loughborough Swimming pre-Olympics training camp 2024 for the High Performance squad Contributed towards athlete performance success at both major international and national competitions, such as: Olympic medals and finals (11 athletes representing from the program, with 6 from the Sprint squad), World and European Aquatic Championships medals and finals as well as domestic home nation meets such as Aquatic GB Championships and
BUCS Championships.Produced tailored session plans within each macro/micro training cycle. Specifically tasked with finding innovative ways to develop the sprinter’s power and speed through our Destro power towers. Devising a plan to enhance the athlete’s free swim strength and power alongside their stroke efficiency. This allowed me to use my sport science knowledge as well as researching and networking with other high performance coaches across the world to effectively plan and track loading along with stroke efficiency to highlight gains in stroke power, strength and distance per stroke.
