PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Head Coach will be responsible for the coaching of the England Blind Team along with creating an environment that is inclusive, diverse and offers players the opportunity to learn and grow leading both players and people in a High Challenge / High Support space that follows the England Disability Cricket’s aim of being the best prepared Blind Squad in the world.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Head Coach (Level 3 Certified) – Disability Cricket
The Head Coach will be responsible for the delivery of high class coaching to the England Blind Cricket Team.
- Developing and sustaining an environment that is safe, challenging and well supported for Blind athletes to learn and grow in
- Working with the wider Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) to ensure players are well prepared both on and off the pitch
- Working collaboratively with other coaches to ensure that players maximise their opportunities to improve their core skill both when with the squad and working independently
- Growing the performance culture within the squad to work towards being the best prepared Blind Cricket Team in the World
YOU’LL HAVE (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Minimum Level 3 Coaching Award
- Previous experience in a High Performance environment is desirable
- A proven ability to be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and orally with people at all levels of the game
- Excellent organizational, time-management and administrative skills and rigorous attention to detail
- Experience with Blind athletes is desirable but not essential
- Ability to travel overseas
YOU’LL RECEIVE
£225 day rate for all matches, training and screening days.
The role involves up to 45 days per year, during the 2 year provision of service
