Job Description

This is a 12-month position that includes benefits. This position will assist the Director of Sports Medicine in providing comprehensive, athlete-centered health care for the student- athletes at Mercer University. Anticipated hire / start date May 2026.

Our mission is to provide athlete-centered medicine for all student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics at Mercer University. These services include prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and management of injuries or illnesses. We are committed to provide evidenced-based medicine by staying current with medical trends and research. In addition, we strive to provide a valuable clinical educational experience for the students enrolled in Mercer’s Master of Athletic Training Program.

Master’s degree in athletic training or other related is required.

  • Current BOC certification
  • Current CPR / AED certification for Professional Rescuer
  • Georgia State Licensure or eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of clinical experience in Division 1 Football.
  • Dry needle certification
  • IV certification
