We’re looking for an energetic and forward-thinking Under-21s Goalkeeping Coach to lead our U21 goalkeepers within the Women’s Professional Game Academy (PGA).

 

We welcome applications from both female and male coaches who are passionate about working in the women’s professional game and committed to developing young players in a high-performance environment.

Position

The Role

 

You’ll lead the U21 goalkeeping programme, shaping confident, brave and technically outstanding goalkeepers ready to progress into senior football.

Working closely with the Head of Player Development and wider PGA staff, you will:

 

  • Plan and deliver high-quality goalkeeper training sessions
  • Lead match preparation and post-match reviews
  • Create and drive Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
  • Support the transition of young goalkeepers into the U21 environment
  • Implement the Club’s playing philosophy and goalkeeping methodology
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to deliver holistic player development
  • Always maintain high professional and safeguarding standards

 

This is a hands-on role with real impact — central to building the future of our women’s pathway.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • FA Level 2 in Coaching Goalkeepers or FA National Goalkeeping Course
  • UEFA C Licence
  • Experience coaching goalkeepers within a female development pathway
  • First Aid in Football (IFAiF)
  • FA Safeguarding Children qualification
