World Class Programme (WCP) Lead Paralympic Doctor

0.5-0.7 FTE (17.5 – 24.5 hours per week)

High Performance Centre – Loughborough

Key Responsibilities:

The WCP Lead Paralympic Doctor is responsible for delivering high-quality, athlete-centred medical services for UK Athletics’ Paralympic World Class Programme (WCP). Working as a key member of the medical team and in alignment with the Head of Paralympic Performance, the role collaborates closely with the Lead Paralympic Physiotherapist, Para Physical Performance Coach, and wider WCP support staff to ensure athletes are optimally prepared to progress and perform at the highest-level during training, camps, and major championships.

Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience in elite sports medicine, including Paralympic sport.
  • Experience travelling with teams to major international competitions.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, medical ethics and regulatory frameworks.
  • Full GMC registration (minimum 10 years).
  • Specialist Registration in Sport & Exercise Medicine (or equivalent).
