The Strength and Conditioning Coach will oversee the athlete Performance Center and serve as a key resource that supports the fieldhouse facility. Helping to create a positive and inclusive culture in the weight room that spills out into the entire facility will be critical. This role is to have some other duties that include, but are not limited to, general oversight and facility management of the building with primary focus on programming in the weight room/facility with our students and teams.
Schedule 12:00pm – 8:00pm Five days a week when students are present, 10:00am – 3pm when students are not present (breaks, holidays, summer). Hours may vary based on operational needs. Weekend hours will be required and will be rotated within the department.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise assigned personnel and event contractors.

- Performance Center Operations – Oversees daily operations, programming, scheduling, and general use of our Performance Center, including establishing policies, procedures, and facility schedules.
- Strength & Conditioning Leadership – Collaborates with coaches and sports medicine to design, implement, and assess strength and conditioning programs; leads team, small group, and individual training sessions; and provides education for all facility users.
- Equipment & Inventory Management – Identifies equipment needs, collaborates on purchases, supports budgeting, and manages a comprehensive equipment inventory system, including annual audits, responsible for daily maintenance and cleaning of weight room and cardio equipment.
- Game & Event Operations – Serves on the Game Operations Team (as needed) to support event setup, breakdown, risk management, security, and enforcement of facility policies in collaboration with the Director of Athletics.
- Campus & Department Collaboration – Builds collaborative relationships across campus, participates in departmental and committees and initiatives, and supports our students through visible, engaged presence.
- Compliance & Leadership Expectations – Ensures adherence to all league and departmental policies; promotes diversity, teamwork, and inclusion; and fulfills other duties as assigned by Athletics leadership.

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time without assistance.
- Ability to traverse various areas of the facility (including unpaved areas, dirt paths, uneven terrain, etc.) to conduct coaching.
- Communication skills using the spoken word.
- Ability to see with normal parameters.
- Ability to hear within normal range.
Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Hold and maintain Strength and Conditioning Certification through an accredited program required (NSCA or CSCAA mandatory; USAW optional).
- Experience in a high school setting or working with minor student athletes preferred.
- Experience with varsity athletics preferably at the collegiate level preferred.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Able to successfully complete RMV, CHRI, CORI, and SORI checks.
- CPR/First Aid and AED certification or ability to obtain certification.
